ATEEZ BAD Era 2026: Chart Records, Hyde Park & Rock in Roma Recap

ATEEZ’s “BAD” Era Explained: Chart Records, BST Hyde Park History, and What Comes Next

When we last checked in on ATEEZ, GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5 was still a date on a calendar — a title track called “BAD,” a tracklist, and a countdown to BST Hyde Park. That countdown is over.

In the two weeks since release, ATEEZ has broken its own sales records, headlined one of the most storied stages in European festival history, returned to daytime American television, made its Rome debut, and locked in a cinema release for its VR concert experience.

This is the moment the rollout was building toward, and it delivered on nearly every front.

GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5 Shatters ATEEZ’s Own Sales Records

The mini album dropped on June 26 as planned, and the numbers that followed were immediate and dramatic. According to Hanteo Chart tracking, the album sold over 700,000 copies on its first day alone, and crossed 1.1 million copies within four days of release.

By the end of its first week, GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5 had sold nearly 1.9 million copies — breaking ATEEZ’s own previous first-week sales record and marking the group’s sixth album to surpass the one-million mark in its debut week.

The chart performance matched the sales numbers. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, while also topping the Top Album Sales and World Albums charts simultaneously.

On iTunes, GOLDEN HOUR : Part.5 hit number one in the Top Albums chart across 26 regions, and “BAD” topped the Top Songs chart in eight regions.
Domestically, the title track also picked up its first music show win on KBS’s Music Bank.

For a group fourteen mini albums into its catalog, breaking a personal sales record — rather than simply matching past performance — is a meaningful signal. It suggests the stylistic range on this release, which pulls from Brazilian funk, Latin trap, and EDM textures, connected with the fandom rather than alienating it.

BST Hyde Park: A Festival Set Built for the Occasion

Two days after the album’s release, on June 28, ATEEZ took the Great Oak Stage at BST Hyde Park.

Their only UK date of 2026, and a booking that placed them in the same historical company as BLACKPINK and Stray Kids, the two acts that came before them as K-pop headliners at the festival.

By all accounts, the show delivered on the moment. Reviewers described a nearly two-hour set that opened with “BOUNCY,” “Say My Name,” and “WORK” back to back, before moving through catalog staples like “Shaboom,” “ARRIBA,” and “Adrenaline.”

Yeosang addressed the crowd’s diversity directly, noting how many different backgrounds were represented in the audience and that everyone was there to enjoy the music together.

The live debut of “BAD” was, unsurprisingly, a focal point of coverage — critics noted that despite most of the crowd having heard the song for the first time only days earlier, the audience responded as though it were already part of the group’s established catalog.

Multiple outlets highlighted individual moments: Seonghwa’s theatrical performance during “ARRIBA,” Yunho and Jongho tossing roses into the crowd, and a widely noted moment where Hongjoong told the audience it was remarkable to see people of different backgrounds and ages come together over the music.

The set closed out with “WAVE,” staged against a sunset backdrop that reviewers described as matching perfectly with London’s actual summer evening light.

Straight Back to American Daytime TV

ATEEZ didn’t pause to enjoy the Hyde Park afterglow. On July 1 — just three days later — the group returned to The Kelly Clarkson Show to perform “BAD” for a US daytime audience.

Marking a repeat booking on the program and continuing what’s become a notable pattern of the group building recurring relationships with major American talk shows rather than one-off appearances.

The following day, July 2, brought a different kind of crossover: Chase Infiniti — the actress who stars in the “BAD” music video and is known for her role in Apple TV+’s “Presumed Innocent” — joined members Wooyoung and San for an appearance on the Korean variety show MMTG, her first appearance on Korean television.

Infiniti, who is also a trained dancer and the founder of her own K-pop-adjacent dance crew, was highlighted in the preview for her dance ability alongside the group.

First Time in Rome: Rock in Roma

Most recently, on July 8, ATEEZ made their first-ever appearance in Rome, headlining Rock in Roma at the Ippodromo delle Capannelle.

The show continued the group’s pattern this year of treating festival headline slots as milestone “firsts” rather than routine tour stops — following Coachella and Mawazine earlier in 2026, and now adding the Italian capital to that list.

Fan-uploaded footage from the show captured live performances of both “NASA” and “BAD,” with the latter continuing its transition from a two-week-old single to a fully integrated part of the group’s live set.

What’s Next: A Cinema Release and More Festival Dates

The rollout isn’t finished. Tickets went on sale July 6 for “ATEEZ : LIGHT THE WAY IN CINEMAS,” a reimagining of the group’s AMAZE-produced VR concert experience, reformatted for traditional large-format movie theaters.

Shot natively in 8K with 5.1 surround sound, the release is being distributed globally by Trafalgar Releasing — the company behind cinema releases for artists including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and BTS — and will hit theaters worldwide on August 6 and 8, with a Korean release following on August 19 and a Japan date still to be announced.

The theatrical cut includes 20 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage not available in the original VR version, alongside live performances of “INCEPTION,” “BOUNCY (K-HOT CHILLI PEPPERS),” and “Ice On My Teeth.”

Beyond the cinema release, the festival circuit continues. ATEEZ is set to headline Istanbul Festivali on August 14 and Sound in Colors in Poland across August 15 and 16, extending a summer that has already included Coachella, Mawazine, Summer Sonic, BST Hyde Park, and Rock in Roma.

Domestically, the group also has Korea University festival dates scheduled for July 17 and 18.

The Bigger Picture

Taken together, the last two weeks represent one of the busiest and most successful stretches of ATEEZ’s career: a personal sales record, a Billboard 200 number one, a historic European festival headline, two pieces of major US television exposure, a first-ever Rome show, and a cinema release still to come.

The “GOLDEN HOUR” series has always been framed as an ongoing narrative for the group, but Part.5’s rollout — timed release-to-festival within 48 hours, chart records within days, and a global promotional push spanning three continents inside two weeks — reads less like a chapter in a story and more like a group operating at the peak of its commercial and creative momentum simultaneously.

In conclusion :

For ATINY, the next milestone to watch is the August cinema release, followed by the Istanbul and Poland festival dates — both of which will mark further international “firsts” in a year that has already delivered several.
