G-Dragon x McDonald’s Singapore Collab: Photocards, Merch & Dates

G-Dragon x McDonald’s Singapore: Mystery Photocards, PEACEMINUSONE Merch and a K-Pop Rave Party Are Coming This October

McDonald’s Singapore is going full K-pop mode this October, and it’s arguably the most fan-friendly collaboration the fast-food chain has rolled out in years.

Teaming up with BigBang’s G-Dragon, the brand is combining a Korean-inspired menu with collectible mystery photocards, exclusive PEACEMINUSONE streetwear, and a ticketed rave party — all timed suspiciously close to G-Dragon’s upcoming Singapore concert dates.

For KpopFam collectors, this isn’t just a burger promo. It’s a full-blown merch drop disguised as a value meal.

G-Dragon wears a straw hat and black suit with an oversized diamond daisy brooch.

Here’s everything confirmed so far, including launch dates, pricing, and how the photocard pulls actually work.

The Collab Launches October 1

McDonald’s Singapore announced the partnership on September 24, confirming that the collaboration officially kicks off on October 1 at 11am, running during non-breakfast hours at participating restaurants, Drive-Thrus, and via McDelivery, GrabFood, and foodpanda.

At the center of the launch are two new Korean-inspired burgers:

  • Spicy Bulgogi Chicken Burger —
a crispy, spicy chicken patty glazed in a sweet-and-spicy bulgogi sauce, topped with shredded lettuce. Available as a Single ($9.95) or Double ($13.70) Extra Value Meal.

  • Bulgogi Beef Burger —
the same bulgogi sauce, swapped onto a beef patty instead. Available as a Single ($9.50) or Double ($12.30) Extra Value Meal, making it the cheaper of the two options.

Rounding out the October menu are two returning favorites: Hershey’s chocolate soft serve, back from October 1, and Spicy Chicken McNuggets, returning October 15 — both also running after breakfast hours.

If you’re purely chasing the collectibles, take note: the photocards are tied specifically to the chicken burger, not the beef one.

How the Mystery Photocards Work

This is the detail that’s got collectors paying attention. Starting October 1 at 11am, every Spicy Bulgogi Chicken Burger meal — Single or Double — comes with one Mystery Photocard, sealed in a blind pack.

There are three designs in the pool:

  1. Design one
  2. Design two
  3. A secret rare edition

Because the cards are randomized, there’s no guaranteed way to pull a specific design — you’ll need multiple purchases if you’re aiming to complete the set, and even more if you’re specifically chasing the rare card.

McDonald’s has confirmed the promotion runs while stocks last, so there’s no fixed end date, but limited-run collab merch in Singapore has historically sold out fast (the brand’s earlier Hello Kitty and Old Chang Kee collaborations are recent examples of quick sellouts).

Fans who want a full set should plan to move early once the promotion goes live, rather than waiting to see how the first week plays out.

One important caveat worth repeating: the Bulgogi Beef Burger meal does not come with a photocard. If the card is the priority, the chicken burger is the only route to it.

PEACEMINUSONE Merch Drops October 8

A week after the food and photocards launch, McDonald’s is going a step further into G-Dragon’s world by releasing merchandise co-created with his fashion label, PEACEMINUSONE. This drop lands October 8 at 11am, and is confirmed to be limited-edition and available only while stocks last.

The lineup includes:

  • Tote bag — $12.90, designs vary
  • Enamel pin — $5.90, designs vary
  • Vintage hat — $9.90

The hat is the hardest piece to get. It’s available in limited quantities, exclusively through the McDonald’s app for MyM members, and requires a minimum spend of $10. On top of that, it’s only sold at 10 selected outlets across Singapore:

  • McDonald’s Canberra

  • Choa Chu Kang Lot 1

  • Sengkang Sports Complex

  • Woodleigh Mall

  • Jem

  • Aperia Mall

  • Bedok Mall

  • Pasir Ris Mall

  • Kallang

  • Funan

If you’re not a MyM member yet, signing up ahead of October 8 is worth doing now — app-exclusive drops like this tend to move quickly once they’re live, and there’s no indication restocks are guaranteed.

The K-Pop Rave Party: October 16 at Aperia Mall

The collaboration closes out with a one-night event: a K-Pop Rave Party on October 16, hosted at the Aperia Mall outlet.

Entry is bundled through a $39.90 KPOP Bundle, purchasable via the McDonald’s app starting October 1 at 3pm. The bundle includes:

  • Two event entry tickets
  • Two upsized meal vouchers (Spicy Bulgogi Chicken Burger or Bulgogi Beef Burger)

On top of the food and entry, attendees get access to exclusive event-only merchandise not sold anywhere else in the collab, including a bandana, a collectible card topper, and photobooth keepsakes.

Given the bundle is app-exclusive and tied to a single-night, single-location event, expect it to be one of the more competitive parts of the entire rollout — particularly among fans also holding tickets to G-Dragon’s Singapore concert dates next month, which this collaboration is clearly timed around.

Why This Collab Is a Bigger Deal Than It Looks

On the surface, this reads like a standard regional fast-food tie-in: new burger, novelty packaging, a bit of merch.

But the structure of this rollout — a randomized blind-pack collectible, a rare chase variant, a streetwear capsule from an artist’s own label, and a ticketed fan event — is closer to how K-pop labels design official merch drops than how McDonald’s typically runs a menu promo.

It also isn’t McDonald’s Singapore’s first attempt at character or fandom-driven collaborations; the chain has run limited seasonal tie-ins before (Hello Kitty during Chinese New Year, and a National Day collaboration with local snack brand Old Chang Kee).

But pairing directly with an idol’s personal fashion label, rather than a licensed character or another F&B brand, is a notable shift.

A clear signal that McDonald’s is chasing the same collector energy that drives K-pop album photocard trading and resale communities.

For fans, that means treating this less like “grabbing a value meal” and more like a merch drop with a countdown clock. Three key dates to have on your radar:

  • October 1, 11am — Menu and photocards go live; KPOP Bundle purchases open at 3pm
  • October 8, 11am — PEACEMINUSONE merch drop
  • October 16 — K-Pop Rave Party at Aperia Mall

Whether the secret rare photocard becomes a resale flashpoint the way idol album pulls do remains to be seen, but given how quickly Singapore’s collab merch has historically sold out, it’s not an unreasonable bet.

Final Thoughts

Between the randomized photocards, the PEACEMINUSONE capsule, and a ticketed rave party, McDonald’s Singapore has built a collaboration that rewards fans who move fast and plan ahead rather than those who wait and see.

If completing the photocard set or securing the vintage hat is the goal, the smart move is marking October 1 and October 8 on the calendar now.

Not after the first wave of stock is gone. And with G-Dragon’s Singapore concert dates landing just weeks later, this collab feels less like a standalone promo and more like the opening act for a much bigger month for local BigBang and G-Dragon fans.

Stay tuned as more details on the concert lineup, ticket sales, and any additional merch reveals come in — we’ll be tracking it all as it happens.
